Photo ID for each person

Each of the two of you, whatever your age, hands over government-issued photo ID when arriving at the casino. Since June 26, 2023, this rule has covered every person entering a B.C. casino. At the entrance, staff scan the card against a register of anyone barred from entry, Game Break enrolees included. Once a guest is through, the system holds no personal information about that person.

Door staff at the Chilliwack casino accept a B.C. Services Card, the BCID, a Canadian or international passport, or any North American driver's licence, B.C. included. A permanent resident card or Canadian citizenship card also works, as do an Indian Status card in its Secure Certificate form and government-issued foreign ID. Gambling in British Columbia starts at 19, and casinos hold to that same minimum. If the two of you stay for live music, The Well Public House asks each of you for two pieces of valid ID.

Address and distances

Visitors find Elements Casino Chilliwack at 8180 Young Road, Chilliwack, BC V2P 4N9; the phone line is 604-701-3800. Straight-line figures from the casino put Chilliwack city centre at 2.3 km, Mission at 24.5 km and Abbotsford at 29.9 km. Farther out, the line to Hope measures 44.7 km, to Langley 51.9 km and to Vancouver 85.6 km. Roads add distance to every trip, and the concierge desk gives no driving times.

The casino posts nothing about parking, buses or taxis, so the concierge desk suggests asking at 604-701-3800. Every time in this guide is Pacific time. The province stays on Pacific time year-round, so clocks no longer shift in spring or fall. A late session that crosses midnight finishes early on the next calendar day.

Ownership and the province

The casino on Young Road was opened in 2012 by Great Canadian Entertainment. In July 2026, after every regulatory approval had been received, it changed hands. It now belongs to an affiliate of Ts'elxwéyeqw Tribe Management Ltd., which represents participating communities of the Ts'elxwéyeqw Tribe.

Under the rules in British Columbia, gambling counts as lawful only when the government of the province is its operator. Casinos and online gambling both sit within commercial gambling, and BCLC manages all of it.

Asked at the concierge desk

What if one of you lives outside Canada?
B.C. casinos accept an international passport as photo ID, along with government-issued foreign ID. Whatever your ages, both of you still show ID at the door.
How far away is Hope, measured on the map?
From the casino on Young Road to Hope, the straight-line figure is 44.7 km. Roads stretch that distance, and the concierge desk does not offer a driving time.
Does the casino post parking details?
No parking, bus or taxi details are posted. A call to the casino at 604-701-3800 is the way to ask before the two of you leave.
